AB  - Between 2015 and 2017, the Faculty of Restoration of the University of Pardubice conducted complex research and restoration of the tombstone of Arnošt of Pardubice which is found in the parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kłodzko, Poland. The tombstone is an outstanding testimony of 14th century Gothic sculpture art. In the past, the artwork suffered extensive damage, and only survived in dismal fragments. The marlstone tombstone fitted on the red limestone tomb has never been restored by experts, and no material research has been conducted. Complex research and restoration has brought many significant findings which may help identify the provenance and provide information about its original appearance.
