AB  - The preserved fragment shows parts of two sides of a polygonal structure that belonged to the upper part of a twelve-sided baptismal font. The circumferential relief decoration below the font's top is the most valuable part of the preserved fragment. Certain analogies are found with some friezes with vegetal decoration on the western portal of the church in Porta Coeli Cistercian Convent in Předklášteří near Tišnov whose architecture also ranks in the wider circle of the Danubian art of the second quarter of the 13th century. The discovered fragment provides evidence that the baptismal font, especially its size and artistic decoration, went beyond the common types of baptismal fonts in village churches. The baptismal font may have originally been made for a significant structure in Křešín's vicinity and arrived in Křešín only secondarily. This structure may be identified with the Premonstratensian Monastery located in nearby Želiv, which is a Romanesque monastic compound or the Canonry of the Premonstratensian Sisters in Louňovice pod Blaníkem.
